Printing PDFs
You will find that many of the PDF documents provided for free download on this website are formatted as A4, rather than as US Letter.
To obtain the best results when printing, set Page Scaling to Fit to Paper as shown below.

File Types and Readers
This website contains documents in formats other than HTML which may require users to have associated readers on their computers in addition to a web browser. Links to PDF files are shown by an Acrobat Icon, as shown below.

To access PDF files, you need Acrobat Reader.
Acrobat Reader
How to Download Acrobat Files
If Acrobat Reader is not yet installed on your computer:
- Download the Acrobat Reader (acroread.exe) from the Adobe site (Macintosh, Windows, DOS, or UNIX versions). These are self-installing exe files.
- To install Acrobat Reader, copy the reader file (acroread.exe) to a temporary directory. Then run the file from the windows program manager.
- Start Acrobat Reader and open the file (PDF extension) from the reader or double click on the PDF file from the Windows file manager.
- Download the file or files you want (.PDF extension).
If you already have Acrobat reader installed:
If you already have Acrobat Reader set up as a helper application within your browser, you can configure your browser to SAVE Acrobat files rather than initiate an instance of the Acrobat Reader application.
If your browser is configured to launch Acrobat, you will be able to PRINT the file but you cannot SAVE the file, because the current Acrobat reader does not have a save option.
If you have launched Acrobat and want to save the PDF file that has appeared on your screen, you will need to COPY the temporary PDF file (before you exit Acrobat) to another directory. Otherwise, the PDF file will no longer be accessible once you have exited Acrobat.
If you are installing Acrobat Reader for the first time or if you have not defined the Acrobat reader to your browser as a helper application just ignore the above.
If you have not defined Acrobat Reader as a helper application within your browser, you don't need to do so.
